Jurassic World Evolution 2: Late Cretaceous Pack

Dino-bite

We all love paella, and that’s why the guys and gals at Frontier Developments have created the crustacean-filled Jurassic World Evolution 2: Late Cretaceous Pack for their dino-filled management sim. So enough of the seafood puns. What does the game include?

The pack features four new prehistoric species: Barbaridactylus, Australovenator,  Alamosaurus and the Styxosaurus. This is a free update, and there are also many improvements to the game to make everything run more smoothly. New features include lagoon customisation and behavioural changes, and more.

But what the hell do all these long names of dinosaurs mean? Surely the T-Rex is the only one worth shouting about, right?

Big scary teeth or GTFO

Wrong. There’s loads of other awesome creatures! Take the Barbaridactylus, a flying hunter which got its moniker from the Barbary Coast of North Africa, where it was first found. It has an impressive head crest, making it a spectacular site for all your park visitors.

If that doesn’t float your prehistoric boat, what about the Alamosaurus, one of the most massive dinos to ever walk this planet. It is destined to impress your visitors with its thrilling size and defensive spines. And if it escapes, don’t worry. It’s a veggie.

If smaller packages are more your thing, try the Australovenator for size. Light in weight, it makes up for it with the sharpness of its teeth and claws. Just above the height of an average man, at 6.5 feet, do not let this one leave its enclosure, or you will have a serious lawsuit on your hands when all your visitors get nibbled brains.

Last but not least is the visually striking Styxosaurus which languidly glide the lagoons. Its three bioluminescent colours are sure to dazzle guests. Just don’t let even VIP visitors go for dip with the Styx’ as the ultra-streamlined marine reptile will make short work of any human with its powerful jaws.

So there you have it. If your Jurassic World is missing some new additions, now is your chance to acquire some exciting new exhibits.

Jurassic World Evolution 2: Late Cretaceous Pack will cost £5.99/$7.99 and is released on September 15th on PC for Steam, Epic Games Store, Windows Store, and GeForce Now Playstation 5, Xbox Series S/X and is currently on Game Pass.
