Elemental Weaknesses: Introducing elemental weaknesses can diversify combat tactics

Elemental Weakness has disappeared in Old School RuneScape in some shape or form. Still, the most recent changes have made the system more concrete, allowing players to become more flexible with their combat strategies. With the improvement in place, farming OSRS GP became a much more thought-out process and has allowed for fighting in Old School RuneScape to become much more interesting and ingenious.

Elemental Weakness Reintroduced via Project Rebalance

Project Rebalance focuses on implementing concrete combat changes that impact player gameplay. The most notable feature of this update was the solidification of Elemental Weakness. Previously, this feature only existed for several creatures and the elite, but now, it has been integrated into most enemies.

How Does Elemental Weakness in OSRS Work

Elemental Weakness is a relatively easy concept to grasp to make combat in OSRS simple but exciting. Players generally deal with an additional 1% damage and gain 1% accuracy, depending on the percentage of a target’s Weakness. Players earn 50% more damage and accuracy if they use an element a creature is 50% weak towards.

Elemental Weakness doubles the damage because it does not factor in magic and base damage. The higher your base attack, the stronger your total DPS would be when paired with Elemental Weakness. Here is the formula for computing your total attack:

  • Damage = Base Damage x Magic Damage x Elemental Weakness

In total, Elemental Weakness further increases a person’s damage. Those who maximize their DPs must take advantage of their enemies’ vulnerabilities. Gamers who take advantage of this new and improved battle system will find their fights much more enjoyable. So if you’re looking to enhance your gameplay further, consider using OSRS services.
